RTTN:Australian Commodity Prices Rise At Faster Pace In September
(RTTNews) - Commodity prices in Australia increased at a faster pace in September, preliminary data released by the Reserve Bank of Australia showed Tuesday.
The commodity price index grew 1 percent on a monthly average basis in September, faster than the revised 0.3 percent growth recorded in August.
Export prices of iron ore and thermal coal increased during the month, while crude oil and gold prices moved up after falling in the previous month.
The agency said that commodity prices rose 27 percent over the past year, driven mainly by higher export prices of iron ore, coking coal and thermal coal.
