MW: Natural gas turns negative after inventory report

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural gas futures turned lower Thursday after a higher-than-expected increase in weekly inventories. Natural gas for November delivery NG11X +0.12% , which had added 2 cents before the report, recently dropped 3 cents, or 0.8%, to $3.46 per million British thermal units. The Energy Information Administration on Thursday reported an increase of 112 billion cubic feet in the nation's reserves of natural gas for the week ended Oct. 7. Analysts polled by Platts had expected an increase between 104 bcf and 108 bcf.
