MW: Treasurys, dollar add slightly to gains after data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasury prices and the dollar extended gains slightly on Monday after a report showed U.S. industrial production rose 0.2% in September. The dollar index DXY +0.47% , which measures the greenback against a basket of six other currencies, traded at 77.042, up from 76.999 before the data and 76.645 in late North American trading on Friday. The euro EURUSD -0.69% slipped to $1.3771, from $1.3781 before the report and versus $1.3875 on Friday. Yields on 10-year notes 10_YEAR -1.51% , which move inversely to prices, fell 5 basis points at 2.21%.
