BLBG:Pound Weakens Versus Dollar After U.K. Inflation Accelerates
The pound weakened versus the dollar, reversing an earlier 0.5 percent advance, after inflation accelerated to match a record high in September.
Sterling declined 0.2 percent to $1.5713 as of 9:38 a.m. in London. The pound was 0.3 percent stronger against the euro at 87.00 pence.
Consumer prices rose 5.2 percent from a year earlier, compared with 4.5 percent in August, the Office for National Statistics said in London today.
