BLBG:Yen, Dollar Gain Versus Most Peers as European Concern Spurs Safety Demand
The dollar and yen strengthened versus most of their major counterparts as concern over Europe’s debt crisis spurred demand for the safest assets.
The greenback advanced 0.2 percent to $1.3726 per euro as of 9:12 a.m. in Tokyo, while the yen gained 0.3 percent to 105.35 against the 17-nation currency.
