RTTN:Chinese Yuan Eases From 2-day High Against Dollar
(RTTNews) - After hitting a 2-day high of 6.3735 against the US dollar in early Thursday Asian deals at 9:40 pm ET, the Chinese yuan pulled back. The yuan is now worth 6.3796 per dollar, compared to yesterday's close of 6.3820.
The People's Bank of China set today's central parity rate for the yuan at 6.3652 per dollar, compared to Wednesday's daily reference rate of 6.3727.
The Chinese central bank sets the central parity rate every morning and allows the currency to strengthen or weaken 0.5 percent from that level.
