WSJ:PRECIOUS METALS: Spot Gold Slips In Asia On Euro-Zone Uncertainty
WELLINGTON (Dow Jones)--Gold slipped by more than 1.7% in Asian trading Thursday as nervous investors cashed out of commodities and stocks following news that European leaders have dropped a plan to convert the bailout fund into a bond insurer.
Investors remained wary of the outcome of the European Union summit Sunday, as they believe a comprehensive rescue plan to be presented at this meeting may fall short of expectations.
