RTTN:Canadian Dollar Hits Parity Against Greenback
(RTTNews) - The Canadian dollar advanced above the parity level against its US counterpart in early deals Tuesday, rising as much as 0.9996 for the first time since September 21. On the upside, the loonie may find resistance around the 0.9890 level at which the 61.8 percent of the retracement level rests.
Against the Japanese yen, the Canadian dollar advanced to an 8-day high of 76.23 around 6:25 am ET. The loonie-yen pair is presently worth 76.20 and the next upside barrier for the pair could be at its 50-day SMA of 76.40.
