MW: U.S. stock futures retain sharp gains after data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures remained robustly higher Wednesday after economic data illustrated a 0.8% slide in September orders for U.S. durable goods after a 0.1% drop the month before. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJ1Z +0.68% were up 68 points at 11,730. Those for the S&P 500 SP1Z +0.87% added 6.70 points to 1,231.30. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 ND1Z +0.51% gained 14.25 points to 2,336.
