NI:Rupee rises by 15 paise to 50.11 against US dollar
Snapping the downward trend of the last three sessions, the rupee appreciated by 15 paise to 50.11 per US dollar in the opening trade today on selling of dollars by bankers and positive opening in the share market, dealers at the Interbank Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit registered intra day high and low at 50.12 and 50.07 per US dollar, respectively, with a minor fluctuation.
The weak dollar against major currencies also impacted on the domestic unit, dealers added.
