NI:Rupee down by 24 paise to 50.99 against US dollar
The rupee slid for the sixth day today by 24 paise to open at 50.99, a fresh 32-month-low following fresh demand for dollars from importers amidst a slumping equity market, dealers at the Interbank Foreign Exchange said.
The domestic unit recorded intra-day high and low at 50.92 and 50.80 per US dollar, respectively, with a minor fluctuation.
The strong dollar against other world currencies also put the rupee down, dealers said.
