BLBG:Ruble Declines to Four-Week Low After Urals Crude Tumbles
 
The ruble weakened for a fifth day, poised for its longest losing streak since Oct. 4, as Urals crude oil declined yesterday the most in a week.
Russia’s currency depreciated 0.3 percent to 30.9254 per dollar as of 10:45 a.m. in Moscow, heading for the lowest close since Oct. 21 and extending this week’s loss to 1.6 percent. The ruble slid 0.1 percent to 41.72 per euro, leaving 0.2 percent lower at 35.7839 against the central bank’s target dollar-euro basket.
Urals crude, Russia’s main oil blend, dropped 2.4 percent to $108.10 a barrel yesterday, the biggest daily loss since Nov. 9. Crude futures in New York slipped 0.2 percent to $98.60, after falling 3.7 percent yesterday.
Russia’s $3.5 billion of Eurobonds due 2020 declined for a second day, pushing the yield up two basis points, or 0.02 percentage point, to 4.507 percent. Domestic ruble notes due July 2015 yielded one basis point more, at 7.96 percent.
