New Delhi, Nov 18 (PTI) Copper prices rose by Rs 2.70 to Rs 384.65 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators created fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November rose by Rs 2.70, or 0.71 per cent to Rs 384.65 per kg, with a business turnover of 24,065 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in February moved up by Rs 2.50, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 390.35 per kg, with a trade volume of 2,068 lots.
Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators, following a rise in demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly pushed up copper prices at futures trade.
