Oil pared its decline to trade little changed. Crude for January delivery was at $97.77 a barrel, up 10 cents, in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 10:34 a.m. Singapore time. The contract earlier slid 61 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $97.06 a barrel.
