Mumbai, Nov 28 (PTI) Most of base metals recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on moderate stockist buying amid better industrial offtake on the back of rebound in London Metal Exchange (LME).
The industrial metal surged at the LME on weak dollar amid renewed buying by investors following Europe decision to take stronger steps to ease funding strains.
Nickel rose by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,070 from last Saturday''s closing level of Rs 1,060 and copper utensils scrap firmed up by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 404 as against Rs 400.
Copper armiture and brass utensils scrap both moved up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 423 and Rs 293 as compared to Rs 420 and Rs 290 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting all edged up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 437, Rs 465, Rs 417 and Rs 301 respectively.
Copper scrap heavy and aluminium utensils scrap both inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 427 and Rs 107. PTI PAK EDM
