RTRS:Euro hits session high vs dollar after Italian auction
The euro jumped against the dollar on Tuesday after Italy managed to sell government bonds to the market even as it was forced to pay high yields on them.
The euro jumped around three quarters of a cent to a session high of $1.3429 following the results.
Traders said speculation of good demand at the auction had driven the euro higher ahead of the auction results, while demand from hedge funds also boosted the single currency.
