NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks added to their gains Tuesday after a gauge of consumer confidence rose in November. Making a brief visit in positive territory for 2011, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA +0.52% rose 37.32 points to 11,560.33. The S&P 500 Index SPX +0.69% added 4.34 points to 1,196.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index COMP +0.04% advanced 2.93 points to 2,530.36.
