RTTN: Dollar Steady Ahead Of U.S. Construction Spending, ISM Manufacturing Survey Data
(RTTNews) - The results of the manufacturing survey of the Institute for Supply Management, which are based on data compiled from purchasing and supply executives nationwide, are due out at 10:00 am ET. Economists expect the index to show a reading of 51.5 for November after it slid to 0.8 points to 50.8 in October.
Additionally, the Commerce Department's construction spending report to be released at 10 am ET is expected to show a 0.3 percent drop in October.
The US dollar held steady against its major counterparts ahead of the data. As of 9:55 am ET, the greenback was trading at 0.91 against the Swiss franc, 1.3487 against the euro, 1.5724 against the pound and 77.72 against the yen.
