WSJ:Indian Rupee Gains As Stocks Rise; Bonds Boosted By RBI Easing Talk
MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--The Indian rupee rose to a fresh two-week high against the U.S. dollar Friday, as upbeat local stocks boosted the local unit.
The dollar was quoted at INR51.20 late Friday in Asia, down from INR51.46 late Thursday.
"The outlook on capital inflows is gradually picking up, forcing those with a bleak view on the rupee to reverse rather rapidly," said the trading head at a European bank.
