KIMBALL, Minn. - More than 300 homes were left without heat early Tuesday after a natural gas outage in and around the community of Kimball. A spokesman for CenterPoint Energy confirms that gas service was interrupted around 6 a.m., shutting down the furnaces in between 350 and 360 homes. The company was not specific about the cause of the outage, referring to it as simply "an operations issue." CenterPoint crews will begin going door to door sometime shortly after noon Tuesday to relight furnaces and stove pilot lights. At this point it is uncertain as to when everyone will be back
