MW: U.S. stock futures erase gains after ECB's Draghi

By Kate Gibson
DJ1Z SP1Z ND1Z
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures fell Thursday after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said he had not signaled further bond purchases in remarks last week. "It's this one headline that has the market lower," said Peter Boockvar, equity strategist at Miller Tabak, of comments by Draghi at a monthly news conference. "While so many want him to print, he doesn't want to give [European Union] countries a free pass," Boockvar wrote in emailed commentary. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJ1Z -0.70% fell 67 points to 12,147. Those for the S&P 500 SP1Z -0.87% dropped 9.9 points to 1,254.10. Those for the Nasdaq 100 ND1Z -0.76% were down 12.50 points to 2,309.
