NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks on Tuesday rebounded from losses in the previous session, with oil service shares leading the way higher. The NYSE Arca Oil Index XX:XOI +1.47% rose 1.3%. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index XX:XNG +0.91% moved up by 0.7%. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index OSX -3.34% rose 1.4%. Among energy stocks in the S&P 500 SPX +0.90% , Marathon Oil Corp. MRO +3.00% rose 2.6% and Murphy Oil Corp. MUR +2.70% moved up by 2.2%.
