MSN:Select base metals remain up on higher global cues
 
New Delhi, Dec 22 (PTI) Select base metals higher and prices added up to Rs 3 per kg on the on the local non-ferrous metal market today, on increased industrial demand amid rising global trend.

Sentiment remained better as copper climbed for the third day in overseas markets, set for the best run of gains since October, as falling stockpiles and reports that may show US consumer confidence and spending gained boost the outlook for the metal used in pipes and wires.

Meanwhile, copper for three-month rose by 0.4 per cent to USD 7,485.75 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added another Rs 3 to Rs 385 per kg.

Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported were higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 124-130.50, Rs 130 and Rs 128 per kg, respectively.

The following are metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 124-130.50, nickel plate (4x4) 1,060-1,062, gun metal scrap 226, bell metal scrap 228, copper mixed scrap 385, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 130, lead imported 128, aluminium ingots 120, sheet cutting 122, aluminium wire scrap 126 and aluminium utensils scrap 121.
