PTI: Select base metals strengthens on global cues
Mumbai, Dec 22 (PTI) Select base metals prices strengthened further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained industrial demand and higher stockist buying following firm overseas cues.
Meanwhile, copper armiture and brass sheet cutting moved down slightly owing to lower offtake from consumer industries.
The industrial metals continued to rise at the LME on expectation of positive consumer confidence and spending data boosting strong demand for the metal.
Tin and Nickel both gained by Rs 5 per kilo each to Rs 1,330 and Rs 1,100 from its overnight closing level of Rs 1,335 and 1,105 respectively.
Copper sheet cutting firmed up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 430 from Rs 427 previously.
Copper utensils scrap and lead both inched up a rupee each per kilo to Rs 414 and Rs 114.
However, copper armiture and brass sheet cutting both softened by a rupee each to Rs 433 and Rs 313.
