MADRID (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil pushed lower in European trading on Friday, with the February futures contract CL2G -0.14% losing 29 cents to $99.39 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The commodity closed up 29 cents to settle at $99.65 a barrel in the prior session amid concern about Iran's recent threat to disrupt oil tanker shipments through the vital Strait of Hormuz. In London, brent crude was off 34 cents at $107.69 a barrel on the ICE Futures Exchange.
