Mumbai, Jan 12 (PTI) Most of the base metals firmed up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on rising demand from stockist as well as industrial demand amidst recovery in London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, Nickel, zinc and Lead fell on lower offtake from alloy industries.
The industrial metal rose on easing inflationary data from China spurring up the demand further for the metals.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both moved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 459 and Rs 487 from Wednesday''s closing level of Rs 456 and Rs 484.
Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 452, Rs 420 and Rs 318.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cutting also inched up by a rupee each to Rs 443 and Rs 437.
However, Nickel slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,115 from yesterday''s closing levels of Rs 1,120.
Lead and Zinc both softened by a rupee each to Rs 115 and Rs 122 previously.
