RTTN: Australian Dollar Pares Early Record High Versus Euro
(RTTNews.com) - The Australian dollar eased from early morning session's uptrend against most major rivals in New York late morning deals on Thursday. After hitting a new record high of 1.2304 by about 6:50 am ET, the Aussie reversed its direction against the euro and fell to a 2-day low of 1.2436 as of 10:40 am ET. AS of now, the pair is worth 1.2422.
The Aussie that hit an 8-day high of 1.0379 versus the US dollar at about 7:15 am ET, edged down thereafter and currently trading near 1.0313.
Against its Japanese counterpart, the Australian currency also traded lower in today's late morning deals from early more than 1-month high of 79.79. At 10:45 am ET, the Aussie dropped to 79.02 versus the yen, compared to yesterday's close of 79.27. At present, the pair ids trading at 79.14.
