The pound euro exchange rate is 0.57% lower on yesterday's close at 1.1992.
The pound dollar exchange rate is 0.05% higher at 1.5335.
With regards to the pound dollar exchange rate we note that, "today the GBP saw some decent support along with risk in the early part of the overnight session, but has since fully retraced its gains. Weaker UK PPI figures added some whippiness to sterling, although did little for overall direction," says Shaun Osborne at TD Securities.
