(RTTNews.com) - The Swiss franc staged a sharp gain against major currencies at about 12:25 pm ET Wednesday. The franc climbed to new 2-week highs of 81.78 against the Japanese yen and 0.9396 versus the US dollar, compared to yesterday's closing values of 80.96 and 0.9496, respectively.
Against the European single currency, the franc edged up further and presently trading near a 2-day high of 1.2075 from early low of 1.2137.
