LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures for March delivery CL2H -0.46% dropped 55 cents Tuesday, or 0.6%, to $99.03 barrel, on the back of a stonger dollar, reversing a 1.3% gain from Monday. The dollar index DXY +0.12% , which measures the greenback against a basket of six other currencies, rose 0.2% to 79.91. Commodities traded in dollars tend to decline when the dollar rises.
