LONDON (Dow Jones)--The cost of borrowing dollars, sterling, and euros for three months in the London interbank market fell Wednesday.
Data from the British Bankers' Association showed the three-month dollar London Interbank Offered Rate, or Libor, was fixed at 0.53710%, down from 0.54235% Tuesday.
The spread between the three-month dollar Libor and overnight index swaps, a barometer of market stress, widened slightly to 45.1 basis points from 44.9 basis points.
Sterling borrowing costs for three months fell to 1.08175% from 1.08300%, while the euro rate fell to 1.04943% from 1.05929% Tuesday.
