WSJ: Indian Rupee At Fresh Three-Month High; Bonds Weaken
MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--The Indian rupee rose to a fresh three-month high against the U.S. dollar Friday, thanks to strong inflows into local stocks and debt and tracking the greenback's weakness against most regional currencies ahead of U.S. non-farm payroll data later in the day.
The dollar was at INR48.69 late Friday, after touching an intraday low of INR48.67, a level last seen Oct. 31, 2011. It was at INR49.15 late Thursday.
