(RTTNews) - The price of crude oil was extending gains for a third session in Asian trading Thursday amid demand growth hopes.
Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) futures for March delivery, were up $0.46 to $99.16 a barrel. Yesterday, oil ended higher after an EIA report showed U.S. crude stockpiles increased lesser than expected for the week ended February 03. Wednesday during trading hours the EIA revealed that U.S. crude oil inventories edged up by 300,000 barrels and gasoline stocks were up 1.60 million barrels in the weekended February 03. Analysts were expecting crude oil inventories to gain 2.40 million barrels and gasoline stocks to rise by 700,000 barrels last week.
