RTTN: Dollar Mixed Ahead Of US Consumer Confidence Report
(RTTNews) - The Conference Board is set to release its report on U.S. consumer confidence at 10:00 am ET. The report, which is based on a survey of 5,000 U.S. households, is expected to show that the consumer confidence index rose to 70.9 in March.
The Richmond Federal Reserve's manufacturing index due to be released at 10:00 am ET is expected to see a 2-point drop to 18 in March.
The US dollar showed mixed trading ahead of the data. While the greenback edged higher against the yen, it held steady versus the rest of majors. As of 9:55 am ET, the dollar was trading at 1.3342 against the euro, 1.5994 against the pound, 0.9040 versus the Swiss franc and 83.36 against the yen.
