MW: U.S. stocks rein in losses after economic data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks erased a portion of their losses on Monday after the Institute for Supply Management's factory index rose in March. Separately, the Commerce Department reported construction spending fell 1.1% in February. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA -0.09% was down 17.79 points at 13,194.20. The S&P 500 SPX +0.17% turned nearly 2 points up to 1,410.25. The Nasdaq Composite COMP +0.17% added 3.67 points to 3,095.24.
