ET:Copper remains up on global cues
 
NEW DELHI: Copper prices advanced by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today largely on the back of a firming global trend amid pick up in industrial demand.

Sentiment in copper turned better after it strengthened in global markets on hopes of a rebound in US factory orders.

Meanwhile, copper advanced 0.4 per cent to USD 8,678 dollar a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added another Rs 2 to Rs 392 per kg.

The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 114-120, nickel plate (4x4) 1,065-1,067, gun metal scrap 226, bell metal scrap 228, copper mixed scrap 392, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 130, lead imported 128, aluminium ingots 123, sheet cutting 125, aluminium wire scrap 129 and aluminium utensils scrap 124.
