MT: Base metals prices slip in LME officials on US stimulus news, strong dollar
 
Base metals prices slipped during official trading on the London Metal Exchange on Wednesday April 4, following reports that there will be no further economic stimulus in the USA for the time being.

Copper prices settled at $8448/49 per tonne, basis three months, from an opening price of $8,563 per tonne. The contract traded to an intraday low of $8,408.50 and hit a high of $8,563 per tonne. “The market has been under pressure in the past 24 hours after the US started talking about having no stimulus in the near future.
