MW: U.S. stock futures trim drop as weekly claims fall

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures eased Thursday declines after the government said jobless claims fell more than expected last week, by 6,000 to 357,000. The four-week average dropped by 4,250 to 361,750. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJM2 -0.35% were off 44 points at 12,961. Those for the S&P 500 SPM2 -0.28% declined 6 points to 1,387.20. Nasdaq 100 futures were down 3 points at 2,733.50.
