NEW YORK, April 19 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices held to less than $103 per barrel Thursday in New York as the government said U.S. stockpiles rose in the latest weekly report.
Inventories rose by 3.9 million barrels in the week to 369 million.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil for May delivery lost 42 cents on the New York Mercantile Exchange to $102.25 per barrel.
Home heating oil prices added 1.25 cents in late trading to $3.1307 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 0.08 cents to $3.1497 per gallon.
Natural gas prices shed 1.4 cents to $1.937 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.891 per gallon Thursday from Wednesday's $3.899, AAA said.
