WS: corn and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; pork prices fall
CHICAGO — Grains futures were mixed in early trading Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for July delivery fell 0.50 cent to $6.2950 a bushel; July corn rose 2.25 cents to $6.1425 a bushel; May oats were unchanged at $3.2275 a bushel; while July soybeans rose 8 cents to $14.29 a bushel.
Beef futures rose, while pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle rose 0.15 cent to $1.16 a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.48 cent at $1.5255 a pound; while June lean hogs fell 0.52 cent to 88.25 cents a pound.
