NEW YORK, April 23 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices slid to $102 per barrel in New York Monday after equities took a beating in Asia and Europe.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil for June delivery gave up $1.88 to hit $102 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Home heating oil prices lost 2.59 cents to $3.1149 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 2.78 cents to $3.0822 per gallon.
Natural gas prices added 5.8 cents to $1.985 per million British thermal units, helped by an unseasonable return of winter weather in the Midwest and Northeast.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.858 per gallon Monday from Sunday's $3.863, AAA said.
