BS:Select base metals ends lower in lacklustre trade
 
In a lacklustre activity, select base metals remained bearish at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amidst poor industrial demand, despite a recovery in London Metal Exchange (LME).

Meanwhile, lead edged up on better offtake from alloy industries.

The industrial metals were trading slightly higher at the LME after touching one-week lows in previous session amidst cautiousness ahead of key US jobs report.
Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,095 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,100 and brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 329 from Rs 331.
Copper utensils scrap and brass utensils scrap both softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 448 and Rs 320, respectively.

However, lead looked up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 123.
