ET:Gold falls to four-month low as euro, stocks retreat
Gold prices fell 1.3 percent on Friday to a four-month low at $1,573.29 an ounce as waning appetite for risk hurt the euro and other assets like stocks and crude oil, with losses accelerating after the precious metal broke through support at $1,579.
Spot gold was down 1.1 percent at $1,576.10 an ounce at 0732 GMT, while U.S. gold futures for June delivery were down $19.10 an ounce at $1,576.40.
