MW:Treasurys fall more, dollar down after U.S. data

By Deborah Levine
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasury prices declined more and the dollar remained down on Wednesday after a report showed U.S. housing starts rose 2.6% to a 717,000 pace in April, higher than analysts expected. Yields on 10-year notes 10_YEAR +2.54% , which move inversely to prices, rose 3 basis points to 1.80%. The dollar index DXY +0.08% , which measures the greenback's performance against a basket of six major currencies, traded at 81.280, little changed from before the data and from 81.286 in North American trade Tuesday. The euro EURUSD +0.1479% traded at $1.2750, turning up before the report and versus $1.2725 Tuesday. Coming up later in the session is the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest meeting.
