RTRS:Sudan frees dollar trading from official rate: sources
KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Sudan's central bank will effectively devaluate the Sudanese pound by allowing foreign exchange bureuax to buy and sell dollars at a rate away from the official rate, a banking source and pro-government media said on Friday.
The central bank took the measure to gap a fastly rising spread between official and black market rate, a banking source told Reuters.
"The exchange rate will be free," Jaafar Abdou Haj, secretary general of the association of foreign exchange bureaux, told pro-government newspaper al-Intibah.
