NEW DELHI: Nickel futures prices today traded lower by 0.07 per cent to Rs 948 per kg as speculators offloaded their positions on the back of sluggish demand from alloy makers in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in June traded lower by 70 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 948 per kg in business turnover of 482 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May weakened by 40 paise, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 938.50 per kg in 4,155 lots.
Market analysts said sluggish demand from alloy-makers mainly led to the decline in nickel futures prices.
