WSJ:Indian Shares End Down As Rupee Continues Downward Spiral
MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--Indian shares ended lower Wednesday, as a steadily falling local currency and fresh worries over Greece's continuation in the euro zone spooked sentiment.
The Indian rupee set a record low against the U.S. dollar for the sixth straight trading day Wednesday, falling to a low of 56.21.
The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-stock Sensitive Index fell 78.31 points, or 0.5%, to end at 15,948.10, after trading between 15,847.03 and 16,002.03.
