MW: Oil looks set to extend loss to a third session

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Oil futures edged lower Thursday, set to extend their decline to a third-straight session. U.S. data showed a slowdown in the pace of hiring in private jobs and traders awaited government figures on last week's petroleum supplies. July crude CLN2 -0.14% traded at $87.37 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down 45 cents, or 0.5%.
