MW: U.S. 10-year yields erase rise from record low

By Deborah Levine
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Benchmark 10-year Treasury prices erased a decline on Monday, while longer-term bond yields stayed up and shorter-term notes edged down slightly. Traders reversed some of the recent rally in long-term debt amid reports that Germany eased its opposition to some solutions being proposed to ease Europe's debt crisis. Yields on 10-year notes 10_YEAR +2.26% , which move inversely to prices, erased a rise to 1.50% to trade little changed at 1.45%, near its all-time low. Yields on 30-year bonds 30_YEAR +1.23% stayed up 6 basis points to 2.58%, after setting a record low. Prices on debt maturing in 2-years or less edged up.
