SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Centane Corp. CNC -27.04% , a multi-line healthcare enterprise, fell as much as 28% Monday after the company slashed its 2012 outlook to $1.45 to $1.65 a share from $2.64 to $2.84 a share. The stock fell as low as $24.26 from $35.47 at the close of the previous session. Centane's projections were cut after poor financial results for May were reported by its Kentucky Health Plan, Texas Health Plan, and its Celtic individual health business. Centane shares have fallen 45% over the past three months.
